If you had one free spin on roulette ?

i would simply flip the chip into the field of play and let chance pick the number. The odds are exactly the SAME for any one number over any other, exactly like a coin is always 50-50. The wheel does NOT follow "trends" just as a coin does not follow trends. Any linear gambling MACHINE has NO memory of the past so your birthday has no better odds than my flipped chip falling on a random number, at winning. People do NOT understand this. Casinos have taken to posting the history of winning numbers, which tends to cause people to gamble MORE because they THINK trend analysis has an effect. After all, they reason, why would the casino post the history if it was meaningless, right? I have a really good friend. I do computer programming. Recently, he paid me to write a statistical analysis program for the state lottery, which is a 6 of 49 system. Somewhere, he got the history of ALL the winning numbers from the last 10 years, which I entered into the program. He enters the winning numbers for each drawing to keep the data up to date. The program "predicts" numbers and groups of numbers according to his specifications for his "system". He actually HAS won several hundred dollars at times, but nowhere enough to break even on all the tickets he buys. He feels it works, and I know it won't have ANY effect, just like tossing a coin. It does NOT matter that the coin came up heads 60 times out of 100, the next toss is still a 50-50 tossup.
